Tree Planting day at Hackhurst Farm
About the day
You are warmly invited to join us at Hackhurst Farm for a Community Tree Planting day of native trees grown locally from seed.
This is a hands-on day for all ages where you will be guided to plant young trees to extend the existing Children’s Forest and to tend some of the trees we have planted in previous years. Full instruction and all materials and tools will be provided.
We will gather around a warming fire and enjoy games, songs and stories as well as plant and tend the trees. There will be time to slow down, connect with nature, and share in the simple joy of tending the Earth together.
No experience is needed – just a willingness to get muddy fingers, be outdoors, and be part of something fun that supports nature and builds connection for humans and animals alike. Bring a packed lunch and something to drink.
Who is this day suitable for?
- This day is suitable for adults and accompanies children, outdoor educators, Children’s Forest guardians and anyone interested in tree planting and developing a deeper connection to the land.
Course Fee
Price by donation. Your offering, as an individual or for a group of tickets, will support the ongoing work of Children’s Forest and its vision of creating a vibrant healthy forest at the heart of every community. Thank you.
